WHAT'S A HURDY GURDY GIRL?
Old-Time Sound / Outlaw Vibes
Petticoats, pistols, music, miners, and dancing....The Hurdy Gurdy Girls of the late 1800's saw it all. These ladies lived a rugged life in the untamed, gem laden mountains of Idaho, entertaining miners by playing music and then dancing with the men after the show. Idaho was built on the richness of a mining history. ....but wait!......There’s still gold in them there hills and the Hurdy Gurdy Girls are still around.
Hurdy Gurdy Girls is an all girl band from Hailey, Idaho performing original songs steeped in the old-time music tradition and peppered with an outlaw country feel. Their songs are about burning desires, life’s tough decisions, family, and of course, finding your way to the mountains we call home. The music will give you an porch swinging feeling mixed with a honky-tonk vibe, and it will always leave you feeling good and tapping your toes. HGG formed five years ago with Joy Lee on guitar and vocals, Annie Maude on fiddle and mandolin, and Natalie Rose driving the train with her stand up bass.
